My name's Penny, and I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. I lived there until I was 18 years old and then moved to New Zealand (via Sydney, Australia for a year).
I now live in Auckland in an outer central suburb called Mount Albert. I have mainly worked as a Personal Assistant, done a bit of study in the performing arts and communications sphere, and aspire to write and make music while being at home with my kids.
My two beautiful boys were born in April 2008 and February 2010. Turbo, my oldest, is just that: turbo-charged and spirited, and was also the inspiration for starting this blog. Smiley, my youngest, is a happy, cuddly boy and I am loving every moment with him.
I married an amazing Samoan man (born in NZ) in 2005. We are polar opposites, and we complement and balance each other out. Being in a cross-cultural marriage can be challenging at times but it gets easier each year that goes by. Mr Samoa, as I call him, is a secondary/high school physical education teacher.
